" Canal Reactivation "
In the past, boat used to be one of the main transportation system that is the most efficient. However, as time past by, the area along canal all over bangkok is being abandoned as the new transportation system took over. Now, the area along the canal are so bad that no one wants to go near it, pollution are being dump inside, more and more everyday.
A canal reactivation project is about restructuring the whole canal and turn it into a livable space, while at the same time a "production space". Water is the main source for hydroponics, collecting and cleaning water is one of the main aim for this new infrastructure. Old and dirty slum housing are being built on top, slowly turning their homes into a much more efficient houses along the canal line. This project is not only creating a new house, it is to create a new type of community along the canal that aims to clean water and produce hydroponics for the whole city of Bangkok.
