Phase 1 : Tuek Klom and Munich Olympic Stadium

In this phase we were ask to analysis local and international building that was built during 60s to 80s period. To understand architect mind in that period which seem to be lost from industrialize prefabrication in the present time. Tuek Klom by Amorn Sriwong in 1965. For international case, Munich olympic stadium by Frei Otto in 1972.
In the modern period you fequently heard quotes such as " Form follow Function" or "Less is more". You will see very different understanding and interpretation between two architect. Amorn Sriwong which he really focus on function and user of the building and generate form after. "Less" in his term is too minimize construction cost with maximum use of material. he believe that the beauty came from construction technique itself. While Frei Otto, he disagree with "Form follow funciton". For him, formal design is a second concern. In term of "Less" he defined it as a single structure and has a reference from very early building which is tent. From architecture perspective, they still have common passion to create a masterpiece building which seem to be lost in this current time.
