Mushroom production

Mushroom Production

The production of mushroom in Thailand has increase over the years.
Mushrooms are known to be used for culinary and medical purposes, however, with today's innovation, mushrooms are used for creating other products such as
biological control, fungi brick and fungi mutarium which decomposes
plastic over a period of time.

The production of mushrooms could also be educated to households to
allow them to cultivate their own mushrooms for culinary purpose or even as another source
to increase their income by selling goods.

In Bangkok, the amount of plastic waste is up to 20% and reaching
4.1 million plastic bags per day. The concept of using the fungi mutarium to adapt
to peoples daily routine will help Bangkok reduce the amount of plastics while
also promoting mushrooms production.

Plastics could also be used during the process of production such as
using plastic bags for mushroom spawn bags or using plastic container cups
for mushroom spawning kits.

The possibility of mushrooms could also extend to the point of using
fungi bricks to create architectural spaces or buildings infrastructure due to its ability
to become solid while maintaining light weight and biodegradable.
